Palavra do Presidente<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Considerado o primeiro urbanista do Pa\u00eds, o engenheiro Augusto Carlos da Silva Telles foi tamb\u00e9m vereador em S\u00e3o Paulo e, nessa condi\u00e7\u00e3o, deu o pontap\u00e9 inicial na urbaniza\u00e7\u00e3o do Vale do Anhangaba\u00fa. Em 1906, ele se incomodava com o fato de os futuros frequentadores do Theatro Municipal, ainda em constru\u00e7\u00e3o, serem obrigados a ver os fundos das casas da Rua L\u00edbero Badar\u00f3 repletos de sujeira.<\/p>\n

Por isso, prop\u00f4s uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o: transformar o Vale em um parque. Foi o come\u00e7o da discuss\u00e3o sobre o que fazer com o local, que, na d\u00e9cada de 1920, transformou-se em um dos endere\u00e7os mais elegantes da cidade. Essa pol\u00eamica envolvendo o Anhangaba\u00fa \u00e9 contada na reportagem Vale da disc\u00f3rdia<\/em>, na se\u00e7\u00e3o Desarquivando desta edi\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Se h\u00e1 mais de cem anos o vereador Telles mudou radicalmente uma parte da cidade, neste ano vereadores, especialistas de diversas \u00e1reas do conhecimento e representantes de movimentos sociais juntaram-se para olhar para o futuro e desenhar uma cidade com menos desigualdade, mais conhecimento e sustentabilidade, al\u00e9m de melhores solu\u00e7\u00f5es de mobilidade. O resultado desse debate, chamado SP 2030, est\u00e1 na mat\u00e9ria de capa, Projetos para a metr\u00f3pole<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Outra das grandes quest\u00f5es para a capital paulista e demais grandes centros resolverem \u00e9 a seguran\u00e7a alimentar, tema da se\u00e7\u00e3o Com a Palavra, que nesta edi\u00e7\u00e3o entrevista Andr\u00e9 Luzzi, especialista no tema e membro da A\u00e7\u00e3o da Cidadania, ONG criada pelo soci\u00f3logo Betinho. Para ele, h\u00e1 em nossa sociedade uma sobreposi\u00e7\u00e3o entre a m\u00e1 alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o e a aus\u00eancia de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Ainda no assunto alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o, a reportagem Press\u00e3o nas alturas<\/em> mostra como o consumo inadequado de comida leva a doen\u00e7as como a hipertens\u00e3o. Esse mal aumentou muito nos \u00faltimos anos e j\u00e1 atinge mais de 20% dos paulistanos. O poder p\u00fablico tem tomado medidas para reagir \u00e0 situa\u00e7\u00e3o, mas h\u00e1 a\u00e7\u00f5es que podem ser realizadas pelos pr\u00f3prios cidad\u00e3os, e o texto traz v\u00e1rias sugest\u00f5es para quem quer repensar os h\u00e1bitos.<\/p>\n

No perfil deste n\u00famero, a revista traz a trajet\u00f3ria de Ephraim de Campos, m\u00e9dico de carreira consolidada que aos 50 anos decidiu ser vereador para denunciar os abusos do governo no auge da ditadura militar. A ideia de contar essa hist\u00f3ria de coragem surgiu de uma parceria com a Equipe de Arquivo Geral da C\u00e2mara, que encontrou documentos internos sobre o pol\u00edtico e enviou \u00e0 Apartes<\/strong>, como sugest\u00e3o de reportagem. A elabora\u00e7\u00e3o contou tamb\u00e9m com a participa\u00e7\u00e3o do Centro de Mem\u00f3ria da CMSP.<\/p>\n
